Around 10:23 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, NOFD firefighters were called to the scene in the 2800 block of Eton Street.
The first engine arrived at 10:30 p.m. to find a one story wooden-framed home fully engulfed in flames. A second call was made at 10:35 p.m. due to the high winds, said firefighters.
NOFD officials report that the owner alerted them of a heavy fuel load that possibly added to the intensity of the fire.
They further told officials that the home had been unoccupied and was being used as a storage.
The fire was contained to the home despite the high winds and was under control by 12:19 a.m.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
