RAYNE, La. (KLFY) — A man was arrested for allegedly possessing a loaded firearm at the Mardi Gras parade in Rayne.
Officials said Markinley Tezeno of Crowley, 19, got a loaded Glock 9mm pistol from out of a vehicle after a verbal altercation with another individual at the parade.
Officials said they found the firearm in his pocket after a pat-down search. The firearm was found within the designated parade route, making its possession a criminal offense under Louisiana law.
Officials said Tenzeno was arrested for illegal carrying of a firearm and sent to jail on a $2,500 bond.
