Deer hunters find human remains in Carroll County

CARROLL COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Deer hunters found human remains in Carroll County, authorities said.

Carroll County Sheriff Clint Walker said deputies were dispatched to a rural area on Saturday, February 1 in response to a call from the hunters. Deputies secured the scene and notified the coroner, who determined the remains are human.

Walker said deputies and investigators with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) are working the scene, along with other agencies, in order to identify the remains.
