Backed by WTA Tier 4 certification and a Global Top 10 teleport ranking, Planetcast says it supports more than 450 channels worldwide, reaching 1.3 billion viewers and serving more than 50 major media brands. Facilities in Noida, India and Singapore support delivery across the GSAT, Intelsat and AsiaSat networks while enabling hybrid satellite, IP and OTT workflows.
At Booth 5C1-1, Planetcast is demonstrating Cloud.X for cloud playout, ReCaster for IP transport, MediaHQ for orchestration, Contido for media asset management and BATS for teleport operations. The company says the integrated stack allows broadcasters and content owners to manage content supply chains in a more unified model.
ReCaster, Planetcast’s IP-based signal transport platform, now supports hybrid deployments using SRT, RIST and UDP protocols, targeting about 2,500 milliseconds of latency for live content across distributed environments. It handles both SPTS and MPTS workflows and mixed-mode operations for multi-destination distribution. Planetcast says more than 50 customers use ReCaster across Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
Planetcast also pointed to deployments underscoring the convergence of broadcast and streaming. beIN SPORTS Asia Pacific uses Cloud.X and ReCaster to support more than 40 concurrent live events during peak periods across 18 linear and 24 OTT channels in 12 markets, with a stated 99.99% uptime. Planetcast also supports global live streaming and 24/7 channel operations for Willow by Cricbuzz, including live ingest, multi-format distribution, ad insertion and compliance.
“Broadcasters across APAC must deliver more content to more endpoints without adding complexity,” said Mark Johns, Planetcast head of international sales and marketing. “At BroadcastAsia, we’re showing how hybrid infrastructure — spanning teleport, cloud, IP and OTT — helps customers scale faster, simplify operations and support both traditional broadcast and streaming.”
Planetcast plans live workflow demos covering ingest, cloud playout, IP transport, OTT packaging, ad insertion, compliance and multi-market distribution at BroadcastAsia, May 20-22 at Singapore EXPO, in Booth 5C1-1.
