Ian Murphy spoke to Fang Wu, Vice President of Business Development at NTT Research, who talks about ABE, Salt Grain and the future. The second podcast saw Ulf Viney, EVP of engineering support and operations at Precisely reveal how Agentic AI is transforming software development from manual coding to orchestrating intelligent workflows. It is an approach that demands new guardrails and human oversight. He shares how the Precisely team redefined their roles. They moved from writing every line to defining strict constraints while AI handles requirements, testing, and legacy modernisation.

The MACH Alliance hosted a panel discussion on Towards a Fully Enabled Enterprise at its MACH X event in Toronto. The event, The Agentic Advantage, aimed to help enterprise leaders shift from AI trials to developing “AI-ready” systems with composable technology. The panel explored how their organisations are moving beyond pilots towards embedding AI into the fabric of the business. Six shared themes emerged from the session.

Business

The CBI has renewed its call for the Government to reform business rates. The CBI is basing its call on a substantive survey of nearly 700 businesses within the UK. It believes that the current business rate model is a serious inhibitor of investment, productivity, and ultimately economic growth. Reform would mean stronger investment and better productivity—increased growth and, in time, increased revenues for the Government.

Coupert Pure, the premium version of Coupert, the dedicated AI-enhanced shopping assistant, has reached 30,000 users since launching in March 2025.

Netcompany has announced a landmark co-title partnership with cycling team INEOS Grenadiers. As part of the agreement, INEOS will be renamed the Netcompany INEOS Cycling Team from the 2026 Giro d’Italia.

The Newgen Software Technologies share price jumped 11% after announcing strong full-year and Q4 results. The share price settled slightly down by the end of the day, moving from 480 INR to 508 INR, a rise of 7.04% over the last seven days.

VertiGIS has snapped up 1Spatial for £87m as it adds Location Master Data Management (LMDM) to its solutions.

Rootstock Software has announced that Applied Energy Technology Corp (AETC) has successfully gone live on Rootstock Cloud ERP.

Workday announced that Housing Association SNG has gone live on both its Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Workday Financial Management solutions.

Product

Aprika has announced the latest version of Mission Control, its PSA solutions, Version 1.80. It introduces a suite of powerful new features and enhancements to elevate project management for professional services organisations. This release focuses on improving estimation accuracy, resource management, collaboration, and reporting. These are key areas that drive profitability and client satisfaction in the professional services sector.

At SuiteConnect San Francisco, NetSuite has announced NetSuite SuiteCloud Agent Skills. These SuiteCloud Agent Skills are platform-agnostic skill collections for coding assistants. They are compatible with the agentskills.io specification.

Nintex has added a new built-in AI engine into the latest version of its on-premises business orchestration platform. The update also includes out-of-the-box AI Actions and an updated identity provider setup and synchronisation.

Precisely Automate has earned SAP Clean Core Certification (Conditional, Level C) for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition. This is about the ability of Precisely Automate to support high-volume SAP data updates without affecting the SAP core.

Deltek

Deltek revealed the details of Workbook 14.1. It includes one major new capability: a fully integrated Fixed Asset Register. For the first time, finance teams can manage the complete asset lifecycle: acquisition, capitalisation, depreciation, revaluation, and disposal, without leaving WorkBook.

Other updates include external References now extending to Price Quotes, Tasks, and Sales Invoice documents. With a new RegEx Validation Tool to test configurations before rollout. Accounting Period changes are fully logged and reviewable via Report 436. And the Jobs briefcase menu item now returns you to the Job List from within any job. A small navigation shortcut that removes daily friction.

NetSuite

At SuiteConnect Manila, Oracle NetSuite announced a series of AI-powered innovations to help organisations in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) increase efficiency and accelerate growth. In addition, the next generation of NetSuite, NetSuite Next, will be available to automate and accelerate business processes, improve visibility and decision-making, and achieve faster outcomes.

James Chisham, Vice President, Product Management, Oracle NetSuite, said, “Across Southeast Asia, organisations are navigating how to bring AI into their operations in a way that fits their processes and supports long-term growth. To meet this need, we continue to expand the AI capabilities within NetSuite and will be making NetSuite Next available in the region, so our customers in ASEAN can increase productivity, expand insights, and accelerate growth.”

The products announced included NetSuite Exception Management, NetSuite Subscription Metrics, SuiteCloud Developer Assistant, and the NetSuite AI Connector Service.

People 2.0

People 2.0 and Crelate announced a strategic partnership. Together, the two companies will help staffing and recruiting firms move more smoothly from candidate sourcing and placement to compliant worker engagement and payroll.

The partnership will see Crelate’s powerful applicant tracking system (ATS), recruiting CRM, and AI-driven sourcing tools combine with People2.0’s employer of record (EOR) and agent of record (AOR) services. Thus, enabling firms to now manage the full placement lifecycle in a more connected way. From the moment a candidate is identified to the point they are compliantly engaged and paid, the process becomes cleaner and more efficient.

Workday

New Personnel Action Request (PAR) Agent

Workday Government unveiled a new Personnel Action Request (PAR) Agent. Designed specifically for federal agencies, the PAR Agent modernises how agencies manage critical HR transactions. While keeping missions moving forward and delivering more value for US taxpayers.

The PAR Agent is designed to make life easier for federal workers, managers, and HR teams. By automating workflows and standardising inputs, it can reduce PAR processing cycle times by up to 60%. Thus, cutting average timelines from 22-45 days to about 9-18 days.

That means new hires, promotions, reassignments, and pay changes show up faster in people’s jobs and pay checks. While HR spends less time chasing paperwork and more time on higher‑value mission work.

Zoho

Zoho has launched Sales Tax Automation in the Zoho Finance Suite. Sales Tax Automation is available across multiple Zoho Finance applications, ensuring consistent tax calculations throughout your operations, including: Zoho Books, Zoho Inventory, Zoho Billing, Zoho Commerce, Zoho Checkout and Zoho Invoice.

This functionality allows businesses in the US and Canada to automatically calculate the correct sales tax during transactions based on key factors like:

  • The business location/tax registrations
  • The customer’s shipping or billing address
  • The type of product or service being sold
  • Applicable exemptions

Sales Tax Automation is included at no additional cost for users with paid plans of Zoho Books and other Zoho Finance apps. Existing transaction limits will continue to apply.
