LOFTY – Our area will soon be home to the largest leafy greens campus in the world.

U.S. Little Leaf Farms PA LLC and The Netherlands-based Dutch VB Greenhouses BV signed a contract to build a commercial greenhouse in Banks Township.

This will expand the Little Leaf Farms campus near Lofty to become the largest leafy greens campus in the world.

Currently, the company operates 50 acres of sustainable greenhouse farming space.

State officials said the agreement was signed during a visit by Dutch royalty in Philadelphia.

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Kingdom of the Netherlands signed the agreement during a visit with Governor Josh Shapiro and First Lady Lori Shapiro.
