Ross Video will spotlight support for the Media eXchange Layer initiative and the Joint Taskforce on Dynamic Media Facilities with interoperability demos and technology previews at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22.

The Dynamic Media Facility architecture separates media processing into modular functions that can be deployed on premises or in the cloud for more flexible, scalable systems. MXL, the transport layer within DMF, moves media between functions using shared memory instead of traditional streaming to improve efficiency and enable vendor-agnostic interoperability.

At NAB, Ross will join an 11-vendor MXL interoperability demo hosted by AWS and show software-based, containerized workflow control at its booth using RPM and DashBoard via the Catena control plane. Ross has also proposed a Security Workgroup within the JT-DMF, with several partner companies engaged.

Where to find it:

  • AWS booth: West Hall, W1701
  • Ross Video booth: North Hall, N2005

“The demonstrations highlight the collaboration and innovation driving the future of media workflows,” Erica Watts, Ross Video’s director of communications, said.
