NAB Show: Ateme To Showcase GenAI, Streaming Innovation

Ateme, a provider of video compression and delivery solutions, is heading to the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22, to demonstrate how broadcasters and streaming platforms can use GenAI and agentic AI to improve efficiency and monetization.

The company, appearing at Booth W1723, will focus on innovations in media workflows — from primary distribution to AI-driven operations and scalable streaming services.

Ateme plans to demonstrate how GenAI and agentic AI enable intelligent automation and real-time decision-making. These capabilities include automated highlight generation, accessibility services and real-time observability.

For live sports and large-scale streaming, Ateme will highlight technologies designed to minimize distribution costs. This includes support for Media over QUIC (MoQ) for low-latency delivery and the AV1 video standard, which the company says can reduce bitrates by up to 20% without losing visual quality.

The company will also feature its Ateme+ SaaS platform, which allows operators to scale services during peak audiences for live channel origination, packaging and VOD delivery.

Ateme continues to support US broadcasters with solutions for ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 deployments. At the show, it will introduce a cloud-based Statmux for ATSC, complementing on-premises deployments with SaaS-based disaster recovery.

As the industry shifts from satellite to IP and cloud-based models, Ateme is highlighting secure contribution over managed IP and OTT networks. Its solutions include SCTE-224-driven rights control for dynamic content switching.

The company has also reduced latency by 50% for AVC and HEVC workflows, supporting formats from SDI to ST 2110.

Partner demonstrations at the Ateme booth will include:

  • Dolby Vision: Featuring content from the German Football Association.
  • C2PA: Showcasing content provenance in partnership with EZDRM.
  • Media over QUIC: Demonstrating DRM protection for low-latency live video with EZDRM and Shaka Player.
  • Forensic Watermarking: End-to-end A/B testing with support for Irdeto and NAGRA.
  • SyncWords: Speech-to-speech and text integration within video pipelines.

Robin Herin, Ateme director of standardization, will speak on a panel titled AI That Elevates Broadcast: Accessibility, Rights, and Quality on Tuesday, April 21, at 1:30 p.m. in room N256.
