Local fire station hosts open house

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topekans got an inside look at a local fire station this weekend.

Fire Station 2 held an open house, encouraging people from the community to come and meet their firefighters, get a chance to sit in their trucks, and explore their facility.

“This gives us a chance to connect with the public,” Firefighter Matthew Gromer says, “and just kind of show them what we do.”

Gromers children say “We love Topeka fire station!”

There will be another open house for fire station 4 on January 10th.
