SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Dak Prescott, a Haughton native and the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, returned to Louisiana today, not just for football, but to give back to his community.

Prescott visited the Ochsner LSU Health – Peggy Prescott Community Health Center, a facility named in honor of his late mother, Peggy Prescott.

The center is close to Prescott’s heart and benefits from his generous donation, which supports expanded healthcare screenings and awareness programs for local residents.

While he toured the facility, Prescott witnessed the impact of his efforts to improve health outcomes in the community his mother once called home.

“When my mom told me she was sick, she said that all greats have a story, allow me to be your story,” Prescott shared. “This center is the epitome of that—honoring her values, lessons, and strength through adversity.”
