The center is located on I-70, just two miles from the state line, and is designed around the Hoosier state’s biggest event and the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, the Indianapolis 500.
The grand opening ceremony is anticipated to start at 1 p.m. You can watch a live stream of the event in the video player below.
Indiana Governor Mike Braun, local politicians, INDOT officials and representatives from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will all be in attendance for the grand opening. A ribbon cutting for the center will be included in the grand opening celebrations.
Officials say the new welcome center will provide much-needed space for truckers, and will highlight the history of the State of Indiana.
