Police: Investigation occurring after 2 found dead in New Castle home
NEW CASTLE, Ind. — An investigation is underway after two individuals were found dead at a New Castle home on Wednesday morning.

According to officials with the Henry County Coroner’s Office and the New Castle Police Department, law enforcement responded to a home in the 2500 block of South 23rd Street at around 10 a.m. this morning.

When officials arrived at the home, they said that two deceased individuals were found inside the home. Officials with the New Castle Police Department said that while the cause of the deaths is under investigation, detectives believe at this point that the two are related.

In an update from the Henry County Coroner’s Office, the individuals who died were identified as 33-year-old Nicholas Neal and 77-year-old Sheri Burgess.

Officials said that they believe the incident was isolated to the residents of the home and there is no threat to the community.
