Skokie man accused of shooting woman during argument on North Side
CHICAGO — A suburban man accused of shooting and injuring a woman during an argument near a CTA Red Line stop on the city’s North Side on Monday is now facing a felony charge.

According to Chicago police, 28-year-old Justin Abbott, a Skokie resident, has been charged with one felony count of aggravated battery with the discharge of a firearm.

Authorities say the charge stems from an incident that unfolded just minutes before Abbott’s arrest Monday morning.

Police said the incident allegedly unfolded around 9 a.m. in the 5700 block of North Broadway, in Edgewater, near the Bryn Mawr Red Line stop.
