Bundle up for Panthers game: Cool Sunday before widespread rain moves in
CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) — Sunday will bring cool temperatures and mainly dry conditions, as a few sprinkles could move in late in the day.

High temperatures will be in the 50s for the mountains and low to mid-60s elsewhere. Have the lighter jacket handy for the Panthers game on Sunday afternoon.

Rain chances will increase Sunday night into Monday. The start of the upcoming work week will be unsettled. Tracking widespread rainfall for Monday, scattered showers on Tuesday, and another soggy day for Wednesday. This will be a chilly rain as well, with high temperatures in the 40s and 50s for much of next week.

While it will be gloomy, this will be beneficial rainfall for the area, with 2-3 inches of rain likely through mid next week. Flooding will be limited because the rain will fall over a 3 to 4-day period. 

Conditions will turn drier and warmer by Halloween on Friday. Good news for trick-or-treaters!
