East Texans greet 92nd Texas Rose Festival Queen Avery Armstrong at the Queen’s Tea

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – The Texas Rose Festival fun continued after the parade on Saturday as East Texans gathered to meet and greet with the 92nd Rose Queen, Avery Armstrong, and her Royal Court at the Queen’s Tea.

Every year following the Texas Rose Festival Parade, East Texans file into the Tyler Rose Garden for the annual Queen’s Tea, the perfect opportunity to see all the dresses from this year’s court.

“I think my favorite part is watching all the little kids, everybody here is a princess,” said Queen Avery’s mother Kelli Armstrong. “Everybody is amazing looking and they’re in awe every time they see all the costumes.”

Queen’s Tea guests will often wear their own best dresses in order to share in the regal and fashionable tradition of the event. Click here to see more dresses from the 92nd Texas Rose Festival Parade.
