MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — April 26, 2026

A 20-year-old Indianapolis man died after a two-vehicle crash Saturday night on Interstate 69 south of Martinsville, according to Indiana State Police.

Darius L. Williams died from injuries sustained in the crash, which happened on southbound I-69 near the 133-mile marker, police said.

Troopers from the Indiana State Police Bloomington District responded to the crash at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25. Police said the crash involved a tan 2003 Buick LeSabre and a black 2026 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.

According to a preliminary crash investigation, the Buick was parked in the southbound lanes on the median side of the roadway, but not on the emergency berm. Police said four people were outside the Buick, and one passenger remained inside when the vehicle was struck by the Chevrolet pickup driven by Cami Lynn Voiles, 26, of Morgantown.

EMS and fire crews also responded to the scene. Three people with traumatic injuries, including Williams, were flown by medical helicopter to IU Health Methodist Hospital and Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, police said.

Voiles was taken by ambulance to IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Troopers from the Indiana State Police Reconstruction Team assisted with the crash investigation. Northbound and southbound lanes of I-69 were closed for several hours while investigators worked at the scene, police said.

All lanes later reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
