Nonverbal autistic man missing from Alameda
(KRON) — The Alameda Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a nonverbal autistic man reported missing Wednesday morning.

Noah Zuranich is described by authorities as 6 feet tall and weighing 230 pounds. He has brown hair, hazel eyes and is clean shaven. Zuranich was last seen wearing a navy blue tank top, blue or gray shorts and black sandals. He may also be wearing a red lanyard, police said.

Zuranich was last seen around 7 a.m. in the area of Ninth Street and Santa Clara Avenue.

“Noah is non-verbal autistic and may not respond to contact,” Alameda PD said in an advisory. “He likes to frequent parks and areas with water, including pools and Alameda shorelines. Anyone with a pool is encouraged to check the surrounding areas.”

Anyone who sees Zuranich is asked to contact the Alameda Police Department immediately at 510-337-8340.
