CEDAR CITY, Utah (ABC4) — A man is dead after a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Industrial Road and Airport Road in Cedar City.
According to the Cedar City Police Department, the accident happened at around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. A gray SUV was traveling west on Industrial Road when it failed to stop at the intersection of Airport Road.
The SUV traveled through the intersection and hit a tree. The driver was in his late 20s, and when officers arrived on scene, he was unconscious. Officers provided first aid, including CPR, but they failed to resuscitate the driver. He never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead on scene.
Police said that the accident is still under investigation, and it is unknown if there are any other contributing factors in this accident.
No additional information about the driver is available at this time.
