Texans are officially obsessed with iced coffee

DALLAS (KDAF) — Iced coffee might be a summer staple, but in some states, it’s a year-round obsession. A new study reveals which parts of the U.S. are most devoted to chilled caffeine, and the rankings might surprise you. So where does the Lone Star State land? Let’s just say—Texans don’t let the seasons dictate their drink orders.

Conducted by IceMakerKing, the research analyzed Google search data, tracking nationwide queries like “how to make iced coffee,” “iced coffee near me,” and “best iced coffee.” Search activity was weighted by total volume and per capita intensity to rank the states most obsessed with iced coffee.

In third place, Texans are going big on iced coffee, with searches coming in about 40% above the national average. From “iced coffee maker” to “iced coffee near me” and simple staples like “iced coffee,” the state shows equal parts DIY spirit and café curiosity. As temperatures climb, so does the appetite for chilled caffeine across the Lone Star State.
