Seiden, who represents District 4 on the parish council, cited a disconnect between federal policymakers and the day-to-day concerns of Louisiana families as a central reason for her campaign.
“Washington has lost touch with the real challenges families face every single day,” Seiden said. “As a mother of four, I’ve lived those struggles.”
A native of Hammond, Seiden is a graduate of Louisiana State University. She previously worked in the corporate sector before stepping away to focus on raising her children and becoming more active in local civic and church life.
Seiden’s campaign platform emphasizes issues related to family, local values and a self-described “America First” approach to governance.
Her candidacy adds to a growing field of contenders vying to represent Louisiana in the U.S. Senate.
The primary election is scheduled to take place in 2026. Additional candidates are expected to enter the race in the coming months.
