The one-day camp, hosted by the 4-H Food and Fitness Board, is designed for 4th through 6th graders and focuses on nutrition, exercise, and healthy living through fun, hands-on activities.

This year’s events will take place:

  • Monday, Jan. 12, 2026 – Dewitt Livestock Facility, Alexandria
  • Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026 – 4-H Mini Barn, LSU Campus, Baton Rouge

Both camps run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Registration and Cost

Registration opens Nov. 24, 2025, and runs through Jan. 5, 2026. The cost is $35 per participant, which includes lunch.

Families can register and pay by credit card through 4-H Online, or mail a check payable to the Louisiana 4-H Foundation to:
Attn: Brittney Fisher
169 Knapp Hall
Baton Rouge, LA 70803

Organizers say the program is designed to teach youth practical ways to stay active and make healthy food choices while building friendships and teamwork skills.

“This camp is a great way for students to learn healthy habits in a fun, engaging environment,” 4-H officials said. “It’s about helping young people make choices today that support a lifetime of wellness.”

Spots are limited, and early registration is encouraged.
