BPCC Theatre presents ‘An evening with Edgar Allan Poe’

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) theatre is honoring one of America’s greatest writers when it presents ‘An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe’.

The prodigious writer penned tales that have influenced generations, including The Raven and The Tell-Tale Heart.

Poe has had a profound influence on pop culture for decades. He is one of the people in the crowd on the album cover for the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The Simpsons have also repeatedly referenced him and his works.

BPCC will present a collection of six Poe works on October 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, and 12. The Sunday shows are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., all other shows are from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are available for all shows here.
