Rowan County home raid uncovers stolen property, narcotics

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Eric Cox was arrested Friday after investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at his Salisbury home.

Investigators obtained the search warrant after information was gathered suggesting stolen property was at Cox’s residence. Stolen tools from a burglary that had occurred earlier in the month were located along with other property stolen from another theft.

In addition to the stolen items, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other paraphernalia were located, indicative of narcotic sales.

Cox was charged with five counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sale, and deliver methamphetamine; possession with intent to manufacture, sale, and deliver a schedule two controlled substance; maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cox was taken to the Rowan County Jail under a $75,000 bond and has since posted bail.

The investigation into the stolen property is still ongoing.
