Officials at Campus Federal Credit Union confirmed a Loomis employee was robbed at gunpoint while servicing the bank’s ATM in the 6100 block of Siegen Lane. No shots were fired, and all employees and members are safe.
The sheriff’s office said the driver was unloading money from the ATM when two unknown Black male subjects approached the driver with guns. The driver dropped the bag, and the suspects picked it up before fleeing the area.
The amount of money that was in the bag is unknown at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Armed Robbery and Burglary Detectives at 225-389-5064 or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
