One person is dead after a pedestrian-involved crash early Saturday morning in St. Paul.
It happened at around 12:45 a.m. along Maryland Avenue near Clarence Street.
St. Paul police say the driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian stopped and called 911.
By the time officers arrived, the victim was unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.
The driver remains cooperative and told investigators he was headed west on Maryland Avenue and never saw the pedestrian.
The investigation remains active but, as of Saturday morning, police say they haven’t arrested the driver.
