TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A woman driving a BMW was killed after CHP says she ran a stop sign and drove into the path of a Chevrolet truck in Tulare County on Wednesday afternoon.
Around 1:25 p.m., the woman driving the BMW was going west on Avenue 260, approaching the intersection with Road 68. At the same time, a man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado truck north on Road 68, approaching Avenue 260.
The CHP says the BMW did not stop at the stop sign and proceeded through the intersection, causing the truck to strike the driver’s side of the woman’s BMW.
Officers say the driver of the truck escaped uninjured, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of the two drivers involved have not been officially released.
