BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Houston woman accused of defrauding Medicaid of thousands of dollars was arrested in Louisiana.
According to the attorney general’s office, the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) was notified of an incident where Lindesay Williams, 41, underreported her income and hid her place of residency.
During the investigation, agents learned that between April 2024 and June 2025, Williams allegedly submitted fraudulent check stubs, resulting in fraud. She is accused of defrauding the Medicaid program of $4,600.
Williams was arrested and booked on charges of filing false public records and government benefits fraud.
