Tropical Storm Gabrielle is starting to get much better organized and could become a hurricane overnight. Continued strengthening is expected as the system passes east of Bermuda. Gabrielle could become a major hurricane before it turns eastward early next week and heads towards the Azores, potentially bringing them impacts as it weakens by the end of the week. We are also following a tropical wave that has a low chance of development through the next week as it heads westward.

Locally, we will see more days of summer temperatures to start the week with a few storms each afternoon. By midweek, a series of disturbances dropping in from the north will trigger more widespread thunderstorm activity in the afternoon hours. This will last until Friday where slightly drier air will push in, knocking down rain chances some.
