BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Denham Springs man was arrested on Thursday after being accused of trying to engage in sexual acts with a minor.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the FBI started an investigation into the solicitation of a minor in August. Patrick McManus, 27, of Denham Springs, was identified as the suspect. He engaged in a sexual conversation with someone he believed to be a 15-year-old juvenile.
McManus was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Jail on charges of computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles.
This is an ongoing investigation. No further details were immediately available.
LSP noted that McManus was previously arrested in 2023 for possession of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.
