
Thursday temperatures: Temperatures around the ArkLaTex will stay above normal once again on Thursday. Lows Thursday morning will return to the upper 60s and low 70s. Daytime highs will soar back up into the middle 90s.
Limited rain on Thursday, looking more promising on Friday: Most of the ArkLaTex will stay dry from now through Thursday. We will see a partly cloudy sky on Wednesday night and a mix of sun and clouds on Thursday. There is some hope of rain on Thursday as a few spotty showers could develop during the afternoon. Some models, including Futurecast, are now indicating that we could see an uptick in rainfall coverage on Friday. Friday’s rain will likely be most widespread during the afternoon and then gradually end Friday evening.
Long-range outlook: There are now signs that we could see more rain next week. The Blend of models is now indicating that most of the area will see at least ½” with some areas close to 1”. It could be much more! Individual models are now showing that the northern half of the area could see 1 to over 2”. They are also showing that more than 1” will be possible further south. Our best chance of rain will be on Friday and again early next week.
Temperatures will eventually return to normal. Highs will begin in the low to middle 90s on Thursday and will eventually settle into the upper 80s to lower 90s. Overnight lows will begin in the upper 60s to lower 70s and eventually ease into the mid to upper 60s.
