Record-breaking summer for Shreveport Regional Airport with new nonstop flights

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – This summer was a record-breaking season at Shreveport Regional Airport (SHV), as it soared into the history books as the fourth busiest summer in its 73-year history.

From May to August 2025, 307,597 passengers took to the skies from SHV, marking a 19% jump from last year’s numbers.

So what changed? A brand new non-stop flight to Nashville, which was a hit with travelers, seeing more than 5,400 passengers hopping on board during its three-month run.

As for next summer, travelers can look forward to the return of non-stop flights to Nashville, Tennessee, as well as Destin and Orlando, Florida.

Tickets for these flights are expected to be available at the end of 2025.

August also marked the 32nd consecutive month of increasing passenger activity at SHV.

This year, the airport has already welcomed 541,739 flyers, which is 78,810 more than the same time last year, a 17% increase!

The increase comes one year after the airport received $2 million for renovations and upgrades through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).
