Earthquake rattles parts of East Bay near Clayton Monday afternoon

(KRON) — A preliminary magnitude 3.5 earthquake rattled parts of the East Bay Monday afternoon. The quake’s epicenter was about 5 miles east of Clayton, 5 miles south by southwest of Antioch and six miles south southeast of Pittsburg, according to the United States Geological Survey.

There were no immediate reports of damages or injuries. However, one KRON4 viewer said the quake caused their house to shake “from side to side.”
