According to the GoFundMe page, Raquel Harris, 33 and Skylar Tapp, 10, relocated from North Carolina to Opelousas a year ago. Harris opened her business Esthetique by Faith located at 317 E Jefferson street of Opelousas and Tapp attended Helix AI & Medical Academy School.
The family is raising funds to be able to transport Harris’ and Tapp’s bodies back to North Carolina for a proper burial where their family resides.
“Both of their lives were a blessing and their memory will forever be a treasure. On the behalf of the family anything you can offer will be greatly appreciated and accepted.” The GoFundMe post said.
