Town employee ‘severely burned’ after car strikes lawn mower in Enfield

THOMPSONVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) — A patient was “severely burned” after a lawn mower was struck by a car in Enfield, according to the Enfield police and fire chiefs.

The crash happened at around 12:15 p.m. The patient was taken to Baystate medical center in Springfield where LifeStar will intercept, the fire chief said.

The lawn mower was an Enfield Department of Public Works mower and the victim is a town employee, the police chief said.
