The FBI released a video of the suspect that allegedly shot and killed political activist Charlie Kirk at an event held at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
The video showed the suspect on the roof of the building where he is believed to have fired the shot from. The video shows the suspect climbing down and jumping from the roof and fleeing on foot into a nearby wooded area.
The FBI is offering a $100,000 reward for anyone with information on the suspect. Officials say the individual suspected of killing Kirk arrived on campus at 11:52 a.m. Wednesday morning, shortly before the event began at noon in the UVU Courtyard. It is believed that the shooter fired the deadly shot from a nearby building known as the Losee Center approximately 200 yards away.
On Thursday, Vice President JD Vance came to Utah with his family and Kirk’s wife to support her as she deals with the unthinkable loss and escorted the transfer of her husband’s remains. His casket headed to Arizona onboard Air Force Two.

The family of a person of interest who was interrogated on the Charlie Kirk assassination spoke with ABC4.com Thursday. “It’s ridiculous. It’s absolutely uncalled for and insane,” the father of a man detained by police in the aftermath of Kirk’s assassination, said. Zachariah Qureshi, 25, is a resident of Provo and returned Latter-day Saint missionary. He attended the event as a supporter, his family says.
Former Utah Governor Gary Herbert said he was “stunned” by the shooting and that it “came out of left field.” He praised the campus and the people at UVU and said that is why it is so shocking.
