PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Seven pounds of fentanyl and drug tools were seized in a drug bust conducted by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office in Troutdale this week, authorities said.

On Tuesday, investigators with the Dangerous Drug Team searched an apartment in Troutdale, as well as a nearby car, resulting in the seizure of fentanyl, in both pill and powder form, as part of an ongoing investigation.

Among the items seized were a large metal press commonly used for pressing fentanyl, respirator masks, and other evidence indicative of people cutting, weighing, pressing and packaging illegal drugs for delivery, the sheriff’s office said.

In a statement, Multnomah County Sheriff Nicole Morrisey O’Donnell said she was “very proud of the positive impact” of the Danger Drug Team in their mission of disrupting the flow of traffic into the community.

Further details about the drug bust, such as the specific apartment where it took place or if anyone was arrested, were not made immediately available, “pursuant to the ongoing investigation,” officials said.
