Grand opening set for Abilene’s new Chick-fil-A

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Abilene’s newest Chick-fil-A is almost ready to serve.

The restaurant, located at 4300 Southwest Drive, will officially open on Tuesday, September 23.

The move comes after the City of Abilene approved relocating the South Clack location in May 2024 due to traffic concerns. Construction began in March 2025.

Chick-fil-A signed a 40-year lease on the new property, which is expected to bring in $7 million, which will help fund capital projects for the Parks and Recreation Department.
