Spider-Noir Trailer Sets the Stage for 1930s Mystery and Superpowered Goons

Sony Pictures and Amazon’s Prime Video have published an official trailer for their Spider-Noir show, revealing a closer look at Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly as he investigates mysteries and fights off superpowered villains in 1930s New York City.

The first full-length trailer for the Spider-Man spinoff arrived as part of a CCXP 2026 panel in Mexico City today. It’s a two-minute video that gives viewers a better idea of the live-action series’ plot ahead of its Prime Video and MGM+ premiere May 27, 2026.

The Spider-Noir trailer mostly serves to establish Ben Reilly and Silvermane (Brendan Gleeson) as major players before the former is approached by Cat Hardy (Li Jun Li) with a missing person case to solve. What follows is footage of Spider-Noir swinging through the city, webbing together goons, and fighting off superpowered enemies like Sandman (Jack Huston), Megawatt (Andrew Lewis Caldwell), and Tombstone (Abraham Popoola).

Spider-Noir is a standalone project from co-showrunners and executive producers Oren Uziel (Mortal Kombat 2021) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher). Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Project Hail Mary duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller also helped develop the show as executive producers, with Spider-Man veteran Amy Pascal also in the mix as an executive producer.

“Spider-Noir is a live-action series based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir,” an official description for the show says. “Spider-Noir tells the story of Ben Reilly, a seasoned, down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life, following a deeply personal tragedy, as the city’s one and only superhero.”

Also confirmed to star in the show are Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson and Karen Rodriguez as Janet. Viewers will have the option to watch in either “Authentic Black & White” or “True-Hue Full Color.”

Spider-Noir will spin a new tale when it premieres later next month. While we wait for updates, you can see our breakdown for all of the villains confirmed to show up so far. You can also check out the first details on an upcoming Marvel Comics tie-in.
