Power outage in Dublin leaves thousands in the dark

(KRON) — A large power outage was impacting thousands of customers in east Dublin Wednesday afternoon, according to the City of Dublin. PG&E’s outage map indicated that upwards of 5,000 customers were without power north of I-580, east of Tassajara Road and around Livermore Municipal Airport.

Between 500 to 4,999 customers were without power on the other side of the freeway around Santa Rita Road and Stanley Boulevard.

PG&E said the outage was unplanned and that its team was evaluating the electrical system to identify damaged sections to make necessary repairs and safely restore power.

The utility estimates that power will be restored by 6 p.m.
