St. Mary’s County deputies look for suspect in domestic dispute

ST. MARY’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Deputies in St. Mary’s County are looking for a man they say was involved in a domestic-related incident early Sunday morning in Great Mills.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office (SMCSO) said it is searching for Michael Bronson Andrade, who is described as having dark hair and being about 5’11” and about 200 pounds. He was last reportedly seen wearing camo shorts and a black shirt. He was believed to be in the area of Chancellors Run Road.

SMCSO’s search stems from an incident that happened at around 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 7. It was then that deputies responded to Longfields Village Drive for a reported domestic disturbance.

When deputies got to the scene, however, Andrade reportedly ran away.

Investigators said he had entered a home, confronted someone with a gun and then left the scene.

Residents should be aware that police activity — including K9 units — will be ongoing in the area into Sunday morning as deputies continue their search, SMCSO noted.

Authorities said Andrade should still be considered armed and if he is seen, he should not be approached.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911. Tipsters may also contact Crime Solvers at 301-475-3333.
