Two taken to hospital after dump truck, tractor-trailer collide in Howard County

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — First responders shut down all lanes on US 1 in Howard County after a dump truck and tractor-trailer collided Friday morning.

The Howard County Police Department said officers received the call for the crash just after 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 29.

Once on the scene, police learned that the dump truck and tractor-trailer had collided near US 1 and MD 100.

Two people were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.

All lanes in both directions were briefly closed Friday morning, but they have since reopened.
