Around 5:40 p.m. on Aug. 28, Anne Arundel County police officers were dispatched to a crash near Ritchie Highway and Jumpers Hole Road.
Their investigation determined that a Kia Telluride exited Jumpers Junction parking lot on Ritchie Highway and tried to cross the travel lanes. That’s when a Harley-Davidson, traveling on Ritchie Highway, slammed into the SUV.
The motorcycle continued, crossing the median before coming to a stop.
The 30-year-old motorcyclist was flown to the trauma center with life-threatening injuries. Medics took the passenger of the Harley-Davidson to the hospital, who was in stable condition as of Friday morning.
Anne Arundel County police noted that the driver of the Kia and its passenger were not hurt during the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
