SATURDAY: We’ll have a good deal of cloud cover around with sun breaks at times. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop periodically throughout the day. Showers and storms will tend to fade as the sun goes down.
Keep your outdoor plans but download the Louisiana First weather app so you can track the radar as you’re out and about this weekend. Locally heavy rain is possible again on Saturday, so be on the look out for street flooding where downpours develop.
SUNDAY: The cold front that is responsible for the rain will continue to move south towards the coastline by Sunday. This will mean less rain coverage along the I-12 corridor and more rain along the coast. Rain chance will overall be around 30% for the Baton Rouge area.
LABOR DAY MONDAY: There will not be much of a change in the forecast on Monday. Highs will be in the upper 80s to around 90. Rain chances will be highest along the coast. The chance for rain around Baton Rouge will be around 30%.
