One killed in Oakland shooting: PD

(KRON) — One person is dead following a shooting in Oakland on August 27, according to the Oakland Police Department.

The shooting happened on the 700 block of 17th Street just before 5 p.m.

“When officers arrived, they located a victim with a gunshot wound(s),” the Oakland Police Department said. “Medical personnel arrived and confirmed that the victim was deceased.”

The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. This case remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact OPD.
