Fatal shooting in Oakland Friday being investigated as homicide
(KRON) — The Oakland Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred around 1:15 p.m. Friday. OPD’s Communication Division got a 911 call reporting multiple gunshots near the intersection of 90th Avenue and International Boulevard.
According to Oakland PD, officers arrived and found a victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Oakland PD Homicide Division investigators are conducting a follow-up investigation into circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police are withholding the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
