Powerball jackpot reaches $700M, 2 $50K tickets sold in Pennsylvania

(WTAJ) — Two $50,000 Powerball tickets were sold in Pennsylvania as the jackpot grows, reaching $700 million ahead of Saturday’s drawing.

One of the $50,000 tickets matched four of the five numbers and the Powerball in the standard drawing.

The second $50,000 winner was for the Double Play drawing, also matching four of the five numbers and the Powerball.

According to the Pennsylvania Lottery, more than 60,000 other players won between $4 and $500.

Powerball officials reported a $2 million ticket was sold in Tennessee, while two $1 million tickets were sold in Missouri and Oklahoma.

Without a jackpot winner, Saturday’s (Aug. 23) Powerball jackpot is at a massive $700 million. The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday, Aug. 22, is an estimated $234 million.
