The Wildcats made the trip overseas on Wednesday and arrived Thursday morning, adjusting to a six-hour time difference while preparing for one of the most unique games in program history.
Head coach Chris Klieman says the focus is on keeping routines steady, even with the unusual setting.
“They chose us. It wasn’t random,” Klieman said. “We’re going to go out there and represent what we’re made of.”
The players echo that mindset. Linebacker Austin Romaine noted that every game is a big game, and the key is preparing the same way each week.
“We have to be locked in despite the time zone difference,” Romaine said. “We have to stay in our routines.”
Running back Dylan Edwards added that the difference for him this season is consistency — trusting his preparation and staying true to his style of play.
“We just need to play our version of football,” Edwards noted. “We can’t get caught in the moment.”
Kickoff between the Wildcats and Cyclones is set for Saturday at 11:00 a.m. central.
