2025 Musikfest brings in record number crowds

(WPHL) — Bethlehem’s Musikfest 2025 brought in record crowds for its 10-day festival. 

The festival had 1,449,000 attendees from July 31 to August 10, according to a Musikfest press release. People came from 49 different states and seven countries to attend the festival. 

The press release says there were 60,800 headliner tickets sold, the most in 42 years. This beat the previous record by 6,000 tickets.  

Four headline acts at the festival sold out: Megan Moroney, Riley Green, Darius Rucker, and Jordan Davis. Eight headliner acts sold over 5,000 tickets. 

Musikfest credited the festival’s record success this year with the good weather conditions and “incredible community spirit.”  

Kassie Hilgert, the president and CEO of ArtsQuest in the Lehigh Valley, thanked staff and volunteers for their efforts. Hilgert also commended the contributions of sponsors, vendors, and local law enforcement and first responders. 

“Together, we’ve created an unforgettable experience that not only celebrates the arts but strengthens the bonds of our community and boosts the Lehigh Valley in countless ways,” Hilgert said. 

Musikfest took up over 50 acres across Bethlehem’s Historic Moravian District and SouthSide Arts District. In addition to one ticketed stage, the festival hosted 15 free stages where over 400 artists performed. Almost a third of these artists are from the Lehigh Valley area. 

Bethlehem Mayor J. Williams Reynolds praised Musikfest as a source of joy to the community and a major economic driver for the town. 

“Musikfest continues to be a shining example of what makes Bethlehem so special, a vibrant celebration that brings people together with great music, great food, and an incredible sense of community pride,” Reynolds said.
