This year’s event, which is packed full of performances, features headliners like Shakira, Don Omar and Peso Pluma.
The two-day music festival is held at Grant Park over Memorial Day weekend and in addition to dozens of world-class performers, the festival also features food by local vendors, art installations and activities.
The event, which features two main stages, runs from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Superstar Shakira is set to headline Saturday with Peso Pluma billed as a special guest, who is set to perform just before.
Don Omar is slated to headline on Sunday, with Grupo Frontera to take the stage a few hours before.
Organizers advise festivalgoers to double-check the forecast before heading out to ensure they dress comfortably, as the festival grounds are a combination of paved surfaces, gravel and grass.
The warning from organizers comes after last year’s festival was interrupted by severe weather.
Single-day, two-day and VIP passes are still on sale for this year’s event.
Currently, two-day general admission passes begin at $360 while single-day general admission passes begin at $199, though several packages with upgrades are available at an additional cost.
Attendees can enter the festival grounds at Congress Circle and Ida B. Wells Drive and all must be 18 years of age.
In preparation for the event, Chicago’s Office of Emergency Management is advising residents and visitors to be aware of and plan for street closures, additional crowds and increased traffic near Grant Park.
Visit the Sueños Music Festival website for more information on the event schedule or to purchase tickets.
