K-State is gearing up for its Week 0 contest in Dublin, Ireland, against Iowa State for “Farmageddon.”
“This is a great game to showcase our conference and be on center stage in front of the country,” K-State football head coach Chris Klieman said. “We need this in the Big 12 to help stay front and center on the national stage for the first game to kick off the year and a big-time conference game.”
Kansas State and Iowa State will open the 2025 college football season on an international stage, for the Aer Lingus College Football Classic on August 23. The Big 12 rivals will meet at Aviva Stadium in what will be the first conference game ever played outside the United States.
Klieman feels good about his returning production for the contest and the season ahead, but it’s the extra guys that will be the difference makers.
“It’s the guys who will play a new role, whether that’s special teams or the handful of guys who will go into their first starting experience,” Klieman said. “That’s how focused right now to get those guys around our veteran players to be ready for that atmosphere.”
The whole conversation was aired on Sunday, August 10, 2025, on K-Nation and can be watched above.
